June 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back and I hope you had a restful and enjoyable half term. We have a busy final half term ahead with more trips, events and of course celebrations so please make a note of any upcoming dates and pop them into your diary.

The School Board continue to be a supportive, critical friend to the school, providing challenge and support and we are very grateful to all our governors. Our governors are - Clare Charlton as Chair, Carolyn Daziel, Gemma Rickard, Niamh Merrigan, Joanna Pilarska, Grace Reddy and Katie Gillingham and also Danielle Noakes, as the new Clerk to the School Board. You can read more about our governors on the school website.

We have been generously donated some large mindful colouring mats and pens for the children to enjoy. Thank you to nookandniche.co.uk and do have a look at their website.

Jupiter's Value focus for June and July is Aspiration

At Jupiter we believe that having aspirations is an extremely important value not only because it is an important driver of achievement later in life and gives children confidence but also how it can help to maintain a positive mindset and good mental health.

We have discussed with pupils how we can all 'live out' our school values on a daily basis and how the values support us all to be the best we possibly can be.

Jupiter's Non-negotiables linked to Aspiration are:

Stay safe in the sun

As the warmer weather arrives and hopefully the sun comes out please ensure your child is sent to school with appropriate protection.

Remember to send in every day:

A water bottle

A sun hat

Apply Sun-cream before coming to school.

If you need your child to apply more sun-cream during the school day this must be in the original packaging and labelled with your child's name. Your child will also have to apply the sun-cream themselves.
